Hey there, I’m Jim.
After retiring from 34 rewarding years in the medical device field, I wanted to continue doing work that I truly enjoy and challenges me, but with more flexibility.
I’ve always valued helping others grow, and coaching gives me the opportunity to support individuals and teams in practical, effective ways. My goal is to share the knowledge I’ve gained and help others build their own paths to success.
It’s a natural extension of what I’ve always enjoyed—helping people achieve their best.
My career spans over three decades, beginning in consumer products sales with The Mennen Company and quickly transitioning into the orthopedic medical device industry. Early in my career, I gained valuable experience at Professional Orthopedics and Sulzer Orthopedics, where I managed regional sales territories and consistently exceeded performance goals.
As Area Vice President at DePuy Synthes, I led a $340 million portfolio, overseeing a diverse team across multiple states, and later, as Area Director at DePuy Orthopedics, I achieved record sales success.
My move into venture capital as a General Partner at Path4 Ventures allowed me to raise over $120 million for companies in the musculoskeletal life sciences sector, helping companies like LDR Spine and Spinal Restoration grow. I also served as Vice President of Sales at Centerpulse, where I led the company to its highest growth year before its acquisition by Zimmer, Inc.
In 2017, I transitioned to MedDev Consultants as Managing Director, where I focused on helping businesses in the orthopedic healthcare space with business strategy, sales development, and organizational growth. I also worked as a consultant in the role as VP of Business Development with Efferent Health.
In 2019, I joined Corin US as the AVP, then VP of Sales and finally as interim President.
Now, as a certified executive coach, I combine my extensive experience to help leaders and teams sharpen their skills, develop strategies, and achieve long-term success.
Throughout my career, I've demonstrated a proven ability to drive growth, optimize teams, and navigate complex business environments, solidifying my reputation as a trusted advisor and coach in both the healthcare and real estate sectors.
Be the best YOU that you can be
When my kids were growing up I instilled this saying into everything they did:
“You are capable of anything. Don’t cut corners, don’t get lazy, and strive for greatness. Be the best YOU that you can be.”
So much so that when I was working late nights and early mornings (if you’re here, you probably know the grind all too well) my daughter wrote on my whiteboard “be the best dad you can be!” And that stayed on my board for 3 years. Through reorgs, many challenges, and even longer nights and earlier mornings.
So, I have adopted that saying throughout all ways of life, as a gentle nudge both personally and professionally - be the best human that you can be.
